FFmpeg
Most of you may already know FFmpeg. It is one of the most popular audio&video conversion tool out there. It is available for many operation systems, comes as command line tool and it's free.FoobarSync uses FFmpeg to convert from one audio codec into another. How this exactly is done can be influenced by the configuration file belonging to the target.
Other encoders may follow depending on how many will send a feature request.
FFprobe is part of the FFmpeg binaries.
